Mr. Fuermann has taught eighteenth- to twentieth-century English and American literature and eighteenth- and nineteenth-century British art history, including the history of landscape painting and of landscape architecture, at the University of Illinois, Urbana; the New School; Northwestern University; Columbia College; the Newberry Library; and the University of Illinois, Chicago. Since 2001, he has taught the history of European landscape architecture from antiquity to the present at Yale.
