Mr. Fuermann has taught eighteenth- to twentieth-century English and American literature and eighteenth- and nineteenth-century British art history, including the history of landscape painting and of landscape architecture, at the University of Illinois, Urbana; the New School; Northwestern University; Columbia College; the Newberry Library; and the University of Illinois, Chicago. Mr. Fuermann received a B.A. from Northwestern University, M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and an M.Des.S. from Harvard University.
