Project Description

The project was inspired by the notion prevalent in the surrounding area of adapting an existing framework to create new uses and aesthetic expressions. This concept transformed into a design logic that entailed randomly distributing wall planes over the footprint and testing those imposed constraints with different programmatic possibilities. From fifteen iterations, the most promising developed into a sculpture that envisions the modern library as a community center in which both private and social methods of knowledge acquisition flourish.
