Project Description

This urban intervention in Bridgeport resulted from the work of the entire studio. The plan is set 100 years in the future and considers Bridgeport’s threatened economy and shoreline. The project proposes various building stock that coexists with flooding, storm surge, existing fabric and giant infrastructure. This proposal envisions Bridgeport as a key player in the future development of the northeast due to its transportation potential on both rail and water. Simultaneously, the project focuses on re-stitching the city together through additional transit connections and architectural interventions. This proposal envisions a city that responds to and exits in coordination with a more volatile world.
