The project is at the site of the current PennDesign building at the northeast corner of the campus quad. The diagonal road cutting the quad stretches ten blocks and links several open spaces in the city. The new building proposes an open plaza at the north end of the site and creates a node for the diagonal path.

The building is piled with five courtyard strips that are coordinated with each other and create a variety of spaces. The fa├žade of the building creates a half-tone screen between the interior and exterior of the building.
