Todd Reisz is an architect and writer. His work focuses on the cities of the Arabian Peninsula, from both historical and contemporary perspectives. Todd edited Al Manakh and Al Manakh 2: Gulf Continued, two essential analyses of urban development in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates. For five years he was the Daniel Rose Visiting Assistant Professor at Yale. He has also taught at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design.

His ten-year project about Dubai’s twentieth-century modernization, Along Sound Lines: Making Dubai 1955-1979, will be published by Stanford University Press in 2020.

Todd’s work has been featured in several Venice Architecture Biennials, the Sharjah Biennial, and various other exhibitions. His has written for The Guardian, Perspecta, Log, Jadaliyya, Journal of Urban History, International Journal of Middle Eastern Studies, Architectural Design, Artforum, Volume, ARCH+, and Ibraaz.
